The Sword of the Spirit

Change in our lives can be rather exhausting.  Especially when there are hardships, distresses and brokenness.  However, I am grateful for one constant in my life during my trying seasons.  This is a reality and revelation for me, Jesus is my one true constant.   Nothing and no one else is certain.   Reading and speaking the word is more than refreshing, it's the sharpest weapon that keeps us from getting overwhelmed by the darkness we face in our circumstances.

Hebrews 4:12Amplified Bible (AMP)

12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword...
When looking for a real battle ready sword, there are essential qualities we look for, one that will handle the strike of the opponent.  A warrior in a battle isn't going to fight without a weapon.  Why are we in the front lines without our weapons?  We need to respond with a comeback by looking to the word to move forward in our situation.

Ephesians 6:12Amplified Bible (AMP)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.
It's time we wield the sword, by speaking the word over our circumstances.

Proverbs 18:21Amplified Bible (AMP)

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.

If you want to see change in your life and your circumstances, you need to be fluent in God's language.

Mark 11:24Amplified Bible (AMP)

24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.
Speak the word over your circumstances.
Speak the word over your children
Speak the word over your life.
